After seeing 'Lords of Dogtown' (awfull)
I got inspired to look for backyard pools in my area using TECHNOLOGY.
This is, I think, the only possibly-skateable private outdoor pool visible in Dundee...
hmmm...
wonder if it's got a transition on it...
OK edited:
I found these but they all look to be certainly SQUARE sectioned:
look there's someone in it!
there are a few more suspicious ones under tree cover, but can't really tell if they are pools or blue-roof garages etc.
PLENTY of trampolines... if that's your sort of thing.
I've covered all the likely areas in town so I'm giving up now...
Dundee is not very big. |

Hehe, nice one, the top looks a likely suspect. Daryl, have you seen Dogtown and the Z Boys? It is really good. |

'Lords of Dogtown' is a shockingly bad film,
But that pool doesn't look awful, where's the pump? _________________ Born2Grind |

yes... seen dog town about 3 times
and again tonight...
And sorry to drop names and ting, but I saw it's premier in Hawaii, with Jay Adams, Jeff Ho etc in the audience...and had by coincidence had skated a park a few days before 'with' him... (he was there, I didn't ever talk to him or anything as cool as 'know him'... he was just sort of kick turning and cruising... jail /beatings/ drug abuse does that to you.)
Yeah that pool looks feckin COOL. I saw yet another aerial photo of it and you can deffo see the transition. (i think) |

The first one looks skateable, an its a kidney too.
Whats wrong with lords of dogtown It extended on Dogtown & And the Z-Boys and the characterisation was good. Got the boxset and an Ex-prop Jay Adams Z-flex.
They way I see it people Make films with any budget It doesn't matter if their amazing or not. You go out you go see. Might just me cus I spent 2 years doing Television at college so Iv'e watched loads of short films and stuff. _________________ -Been skating since 1998 and loving it-

It was a bad film. No matter how much we may like the subject matter and think we understand the background 'true-story.'
Thinly characterized, trite, etc etc.
Not unwatchable, but hardly 'fine cinema.' No prob though., it tells a story and puts the skateboarding in the picture for most viewers. |
