Event date: May 8, 2010:
The build is coming on nicely. Check out the latest photos from zeefoto for proof. Skateboard Scotland are involved with the opening day. The plans so far are as follows:
The park will have been open for almost 2 weeks by the 8th so
should have calmed down a bit by the 8th (hopefully).
The opening will be at 1pm with some
councillors, WREN people, Sport Scotland peopleand the local community coming along. Ali Menzies will be on the mic running the days proceedings which will consist of a BMX and skate demo and then a free for all session with potential prizes for the best up and coming riders.
For anyone that wants some coaching there will be some very experienced skateboarders on hand to teach you some new tricks and help with any questions that you have about skateboarding.
And finally in the car park there’ll be the guys from the ‘Clan’ who’ll be doing a mountain bike demo with their own ramps.
So don’t miss out guys. This will be a fun day out and an opportunity to skate Edinburgh only concrete park. See you all there.
