That’s right guys. You have heard us correctly. We at Skateboard Scotland have been working towards this for some time now. Our application for Governing Body status was accepted by Sport Scotland and the end of last week. There was quite a lot of hoop jumping to ensure that Skateboarders and no-one else will be governing our pastime/sport/lifestyle or whatever you want to call it. We will be in further discussions with Sport Scotland in a near future to see what (if any) doors are opened to us as the governing body of a Scottish Sport. Once we have some more details we will get them up.
I would personally like to thanks everyone who has been involved with Skateboard Scotland over the years to get us into this position. It has not been particularly easy but it has been worth it. Big Thanks.
