Here’s an interesting wee skate related artistic production.
Opera company Tête a Tête and young composer Samuel Bordoli have teamed up with skaters and Glasgow community choir, The Sirens of Titans Choir, to make a real noise using the unique acoustics of a skate park (Unit23) in Glasgow (Dumbarton). Later this month Samuel and Bill Bankes-Jones, the artistic director of Tête-à-Tête and an enthusiastic surfer, create an innovative new performance that responds to the distinctive sounds of skateboarding.
Grind will be filmed on 26 July then screened on 1 August, at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, as part of the New Music Biennial.
