A public consultation for the proposed skatepark in Saughton Park takes place this Wednesday 16 April 2008 at Carrickvale Community Education Centre, 2 Saughton Mains Street, Edinburgh at 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
Initial contacts with local residents groups have been extremely positive so it should be a very different atmosphere than the meetings for Inverleith and the Meadows. The council and the Edinburgh Skatepark Project have worked hard to ensure that all the communication and consultation is planned far more effectively than last time and we have the support of local councillors and the head of Culture and Leisure.
Hopefully this will mean a final location for Edinburgh’s outdoor skatepark project.
