Sad news coming from East Kilbride that EK park unfortunately has had to cease trading mainly due to a dispute over the rent for the building (it would seem). It is unfortunate that the park had to come to its demise this way. It provided some much needed shelter for the locals in the Central Belt area over the last few years. Commiserations to everyone involved with the park and we wish you the best with your future endeavours.
On a plus note and from a purely selfish skateboarder point of view there is a new indoor concrete skatepark being built in East Kilbride as we speak. Not sure when it will be finished but it is going to be called Kaos. So keep your eyes peeled for an opening date.
