This post was meant to be up ages ago so apologies for the lateness. Skateboard Scotland are organising 2 minibuses up to the Thistles this year. One from Glasgow and one from Edinburgh. Here is the script:
Buses will leave from Focus (in the respective cities at 9.30 am on Saturday the 19th of April (do not be late (and don’t presume that we will be late either).Ali will be driving the bus from Edinburgh and Paul will be driving the one from Glasgow.
ETA in Aberdeen will be 12.00. Shralp til you hurt. Hit the afterparty in the tunnels in Aberdeen then find yourselves somewhere to stay. Skateboard Scotland are only organising transport so you will have to sort out your own accommodation in Aberdeen.
Buses will leave Transitions the next day at 10.00 am to get to Dumbarton for the next leg. If you are late for the bus then you will miss your ride as we are not going to hang about. The new bowl will be built so it will be a sick session on the Sunday and you won’t want to miss it. Also remember that the Skateboard Scotland Schralper awards will be getting dished out on the Sunday so it makes sense to session tough for both days. Daryl’s Schralper Trophy should be all set too and the two parts will be getting awarded on the respective days.
We should get to Dumbarton for by 13.30 All going to plan. The buses will be heading back to their respective cities after the comp has finished on the Sunday.
The cost for the transport is going to be 25 quid per person to cover the cost of the van hire and the diesel. Remember that you will have to sort out somewhere to stay in Aberdeen yourselves. You must also be over 16 to come along on the bus as you will be looking after yourselves for the whole weekend. All we are doing is giving you a lift to the event we are not responsible for anything else. If you want to come up on one of the buses then please get your money into your respective Focus shop as soon as you can. Places on the bus will only be reserved for you when you have paid your money. There are only 16 places in each bus so get in there quick.
